Hygienist Treatments

What is a Dental Hygienist?

The hygienist is an important member of the dental team whose main role is in preventive dental care and treating gum disease. They work with the dentist to show you correct home care so that you can keep your teeth and gums healthy.

What does the Hygienist do?

The hygienist will professionally clean your teeth by removing plaque and tartar (calculus) deposits.

They can also remove staining on your teeth to help you achieve a brighter whiter smile.

However, their most important role is to advise you on how to clean your teeth thoroughly at home, so as to minimise the future build up of plaque and tartar deposits. This will help to prevent dental disease and keep your teeth and gums healthy.

Who are our Hygienists?

Our resident hygienists are Leah Gibson and Harishri Tallamraju. Leah normally works on Tuesdays and Harishri works on Saturdays.

How much does it cost?

The fee for a hygienist visit is £55 (weekdays) or £60 (Saturdays).
