Emergency Appointments


If you require urgent dental care, please phone the pratice, and we will endeavour to arrange an emergency appointment within 24 hours. Outside normal working hours, emergency dental services can be accessed by calling NHS 111.



Appointment Cancellation Policy


If you wish to cancel an appointment please give us at least 24 hours notice, so that we may offer your appointment to another patient.

Please note that if you fail to attend NHS appointments on multiple occasions, or cancel appointments without giving 24 hours notice, we may no longer be able to see you as an NHS patient. 

If you fail to attend a Private appointment, or cancel without giving 24 hours notice, a charge may be incurred. The charge would normally be £1 for every minute missed i.e. £15 for a 15 minute appointment and £30 for a 30 minute appointment etc.



Confidentiality Statement


We comply with the Data Protection Act 2018, and we have procedures in place to ensure that personal information about patients is kept securely.

Access to Information


You have the right to access your dental records. If you would like a copy of your records, please make a written request (either by email or letter) addressed to Dr Sachin Shah. 





All our staff are registered with the General Dental Council (GDC), and we follow the GDC's Standards for the Dental Team.

The practice is registered with the Care Quality Commision (CQC).

At Village Dental Practice, we follow recommended guidelines with regard to the Decontamination of equipment and the prevention of cross infection.



Complaints Policy


If you have a complaint, concern or suggestion about any aspect of our practice, please let us know. At Village Dental Practice we take complaints very seriously and try to ensure that all our patients are pleased with their experience of our service. Concerns can be raised in person, over the phone or in writing/by email. The person responsible for dealing with complaints is Dr Sachin Shah, the practice principal. Please be assured, that all complaints will be dealt with promptly  and in a courteous manner, so that the matter is resolved as quickly as possible. We can supply you with a copy of the practice complaints procedure if you wish.



The practice is at ground floor level and so we are generally easily accessible. Please note that there are a couple of steps up to the front door from street level, but we do have grab rails on either side of the front door to assist patients with mobility issues. If you are a wheelchair user, we have a portable ramp available to enable you to access the practice.

For patients who are hard of hearing we have an induction loop facility.

For visually impaired patients, information can be provided in large print.
